Considering RAP-A and RAP-P?

While RAP-A and RAP-P can be completed independently, many facilitators choose to undertake both programs. Together, they provide a broader understanding of the factors that support adolescent wellbeing across both school and home environments, helping facilitators create a more connected and consistent approach to supporting young people.

Why training matters

The effectiveness of RAP is built on the quality of its facilitation. To maintain consistency and ensure programs are delivered as intended, all RAP-A and RAP-P facilitators must complete specialised training before delivering the program.

Training provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the RAP framework, program resources and facilitation approach, helping them feel confident and well-equipped to deliver RAP within their own setting.

RAP training is designed for professionals who support the wellbeing, development and mental health of young people and their families. While participants often come from education, counselling and mental health backgrounds, the program is also valuable for others working in youth-focused roles.

Participants commonly include:

  • Psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and mental health nurses

  • School counsellors, guidance officers and chaplains

  • Teachers

  • Community and youth workers
